"We never really taught..." - Michael Douglas character
"What?" - student

True...

All he ever hope was...
that the student finds...
the path as exciting ...
as he did...

But at the end...
it's up to the student.
... to walk,
... to see,
... to add,
... to the adventure.

and hope that the next
finds the adventure
... as daring,
... as exciting,

- that the next adds
... to the story,
... to the adventure,

A wiseman once said
"If you taught hard, you really did not teach."

The greatest lessons learned
are the lessons we learned
... by ourselves

and time stood still

True...

  1. A teacher's calling is not to teach but to help his/her students learn. I mean, one can always teach without even realizing that his/her students did not even learn anything.

A former professor in AdMU made me realize that there is a huge difference between "to teach students" and "to make your students learn".

"At the end day of the day," she said, "its not about me being able to teach but its about you learning."

I could only hope that this country produce more teachers like her - always, always has the heart for the next generation; making sacrifices for the next, notwithstanding whatever that is left of her.
