college ball ode

the next two lines is
alphabetically arranged = )

got nothing against the archers
got nothing against the eagles

but the warriors
(so far)
this year
is something else

how could the boys
from the much maligned recto
lead the pack that includes
the boys from loyola

interesting = )

no, i'm not about to bash
I am reflecting

it's warriors time
it could be argued
statistics could explain that

you can't win them all
you have to lose "sometimes"

in the warriors' eyes
last night's game
can be considered a "lost"
the bulldogs had the chance
while the tigers did not

warriors played poorly
as the bulldogs played
the game of their season

change thought

but you know what
"bilog nga ang bola"

the "universe"
gives
everybody
an equal
chance
but to step up
is a choice... a decision

it's those that knows this fact
that always prepares
that even if they have
the slimmest of chance
they step up

and that always beat
those who were given the chance
but did not prepare
... did not step up

maybe
this is the beauty
of the archers
of the eagles

maybe that's why
they are always
in the mix of things

they prepare

but sometimes
chance and a prepared soul
meets

and a "warrior" is born = )

Kabayan, isa ka bang mabalasik na mandirigma?
Are you the Lion of Judah?

  1. Fine.

I know... we, the Ateneans were defeated by such brooding warriors from ugh, Recto. Same thing with those in Taft and Espana, yes?

One would say that its just a ballgame and it involves so much pride but you see, we may be defeated in such ballgames - still, I take pride that Ateneans will always be Ateneans.

We never forget that "Through joys and tears, through the laughing years, we sing our battle song: Win or lose, it’s the school we choose; this is the place where we belong!"

    Haha.

You hit me! I am an Atenean! =p
